Today’s Sanibel Captiva fishing charter:  tarpon fishing great last two days!

The tarpon fishing had been really slow, but has been terrific the last several days!

All of a sudden we are hooking a lot of tarpon after it being really slow most of May.

The biggest challenge has been all of the sharks, both small sharks that steal the bait and large sharks that attack the tarpon on the line.

Captiva Island College Of Fishing ©Today’s Sanibel Captiva fishing charter:  bull sharks attack tarpon.

It was a good day of tarpon fishing just off Captiva until the bull sharks moved in.

We caught and released several tarpon safely and in good shape.

We just about had another tarpon to the boat when all of a sudden three bull sharks attacked the tarpon.

We have to be constantly aware of bull and hammerhead sharks during tarpon season and this video is a good reminder why.  The video is very graphic and may not be appropriate for all viewers.
